The first thing about Horseburner is...man those dudes can write some gnarly riffs. This is the soundtrack to a smoke-filled van cruising down a back road at 2:00AM. Going to see Horseburner live for the first time, you might be tempted to say to yourself "wait, these guys are from...where?" Like most bands that hail from small towns, they have a sound that is bigger than their surroundings, probably as a mental escape from the humdrum that makes small towns the place where youth goes to die. They definitely have a lot going for them, especially with their latest announcement of recording sessions at the Jam Room in South Carolina.
Here's to Parkersburg, West Virginia's finest-best of luck in 2012 dudes!
